EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION
Emergency contraception (sometimes called "the Morning After
Pill") is only effective if taken within 72 hours of unprotected
intercourse, and most effective if taken within the first 48 hours
after intercourse. At Lovejoy Surgicenter we believe women should
have quick and easy access to emergency contraception. EC pills
are available on a "walk-in" basis during normal business
hours and requires less than 20 minutes. An appointment is not
necessary.
