Emergency Contraception (sometimes called "the Morning After Pill" or Plan B) is only effective if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse, and most effective if taken within the first 48 hours after intercourse. EC pills are available on a "walk-in" basis during normal business hours and requires less than 15 minutes. An appointment is not necessary.
